The Tunisian government has developed a comprehensive strategy to promote renewable energy and energy efficiency: the Plan Solaire. The project provides support and capacity building for the Tunisian energy agency ANME in implementing its Plan Solaire. Components of the plan are to be formulated as Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) to seek international support and recognition for Tunisia's mitigation actions. The Wuppertal Institute is specifically engaged in defining sustainability criteria for NAMAs in Tunisia's energy sector.
