Sharing ideas and knowledge

  • Events 24.10. - 25.10.2023
  • Location Brussels (Belgium)

The two-day event "RE-energising Europe – Sharing ideas and knowledge" takes place from 24 to 25 October 2023 and is organised by 7 EU-funded projects (Horizon2020). It brings together on-stage speakers from the EU institutions, from the projects as well as key players from the energy market, to discuss how the work done in the past three years can support RE-energising Europe.

Felix Suerkemper, Senior Researcher in the Energy Policy Research Unit at the Wuppertal Institute, presents the "Multiple Impacts Calculation Tool" (MICAT) project together with Frederic Berger, Researcher at Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI on the first day at 11.15 am. The project aims to develop a comprehensive approach to estimating the multiple impacts of energy efficiency by creating a free, easy-to-use, science-based online tool (MICATool).

The event tackles key topics related to energy in Europe: (renewable) (bio) energy communities, energy efficiency, multiple benefits, renewable energy systems, renewable heating and cooling, women, empowering people, energy behaviour, new trends of energy consumption (digitalisation, circular economy and more). To bring content to the discussions, the initiatives present tools and models, one stop shops, awareness raising and nudging campaigns, showcased through presentations, a poster session and a field visit. Both event days complement each other and provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of research and policy recommendations in the energy field.

Interested parties can register in the following link, both days can be attended together or separately.
