In 2011 the Wuppertal Institute celebrated its 20th anniversary. 20 years after its foundation it is nationally and internationally established as a leading institution for sustainability research. Time to look ahead and time to celebrate. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary a congress "Factor W - Transition as a Challenge" was held on the 30 September 2011 in the Historische Stadthalle (historic city hall) of Wuppertal setting impulses for the future. In the evening before the congress we celebrated together with friends, companions, partners, promoters, with former and current institute members.
