Presented as a loose series, impulse papers provide an overview on theses and research results regarding current political debates. The first series dealt with issues of the election year 2009. At the beginning of 2011, the German Parliament started a committee of inquiry on "Growth, Wealth, Quality of Life" with Uwe Schneidewind as one of the experts. The intensified public debate on growth has lead to the second part of the series titled "Impulses for Changing Patterns of Growth".
