Infrastructural aspects and solution options play a very important role regarding the current complex of social questions concerning the change from integration to a total transformation of renewable energies into the energy systems and mobility systems.
The embedding of these aspects into the context of long-term and sustainable low-carbon-strategies requires special spatial and intertemporal simulations. The focus of this operation is e.g. the analysis (incl. Development of models) of power input based on renewable energies, the reaction to the total electric load as well as the reaction to the posibilities of response by specific assessable loads and local energy storages. Furthermore, development directions are the simplified modelling of power networks as well as the embedding of existing infrastructures of natrual gas and district heating as potential storage options.
